BRANDON EDGE
Lt Col Edge entered the U.S. Air Force in 2002 after graduating from Clemson University and served in a wide range of leadership roles at the squadron, combatant command, and Air Staff levels. His career spanned assignments across the United States and overseas, with a focus on security operations, force protection, and organizational leadership.
He began his career at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and later served in key leadership positions at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. In 2009, he was assigned to Cairo, Egypt, where he served as Chief of Force Protection for the Office of Military Cooperation. During this assignment, he supported U.S. interests during the early stages of the Arab Spring, including non-combatant evacuation operations for American citizens and coordination with international and regional partners.
Lt Col Edge later served at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C., where he led the development and coordination of force protection and security policy affecting more than 30,000 Air Force Security Forces personnel worldwide. In 2013, he assumed command of the 354th Security Forces Squadron at Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, leading a 157-member unit responsible for protecting personnel, aircraft, and critical infrastructure. He deployed multiple times in support of U.S. Central Command operations, including service in Iraq.
Following squadron command, he returned to the Pentagon as a branch chief responsible for operations, requirements, and policy development, where he also revitalized key professional forums and strengthened strategic communication across the Security Forces enterprise. Now retired and residing in South Carolina, Lt Col Edge continues his commitment to service as a volunteer peer leader with the Wounded Warrior Project.
