The Warriors Remembrance Foundation is a small non-profit our of Spring Branch, Texas. We have 6 volunteers who run the entire operation along side Nicholas Aidan our youth visionary. Our purpose is simple yet profound: to honor all veterans, recognizing their sacrifices and unwavering dedication to our country and its freedoms.

With each marker placed and every life remembered, we express our enduring gratitude — one veteran at a time. It's a humble tribute to those who have given so much for our nation.

About

Message From The WRF

The foundation stands as a beacon of honor and remembrance, dedicated to ensuring that the sacrifices of our veterans are never forgotten. Our mission is twofold: to provide dignified recognition through the provision of grave markers, medallions, plaques, and restoration services for veterans' final resting places, and to offer unwavering support to next of kin, providing VA filing assistance, aid for funeral expenses, and genealogist assistance where needed.

We believe that every veteran deserves to be remembered with the utmost respect, regardless of any bureaucratic hurdles they may face. Therefore, in addition to our commitment to honoring veterans through tangible markers of remembrance, we also advocate for changes in veteran death and burial benefits aiming to make the processes and aid for veterans families more . Through our efforts, we strive to ensure that no veteran's sacrifice goes unnoticed, and that their legacy of service continues to inspire future generations.

Restoring Grave Markers

Wiping Away the Dirt!

The foundation is dedicated to honoring our nation's veterans by ensuring their final resting places are treated with utmost respect. Many grave markers have become unreadable and neglected due to time and harsh elements. We prioritize cleaning and maintaining these sites to restore dignity to those who served. Each cleaned gravestone symbolizes gratitude and respect, ensuring their sacrifices are remembered.

However, we can't do this alone. We urge every American to join us. Whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, each contribution helps honor our veterans and preserve their legacies. Let's unite in upholding their dignity and honoring their sacrifices, ensuring their memories endure for generations.

Raising Awareness

Publications & Research

Raising awareness about the injustice of veterans buried without proper recognition is one of our paramount challenges. Ensuring that all families of veterans are informed about how to apply for burial benefits and guiding them through the process at the time of their loved one's passing is essential. This includes educating funeral homes, cemeteries, and executors of veterans' estates about federal regulations governing burial rights and the necessary forms for obtaining veterans' grave markers. Additionally, identifying veterans in unmarked graves and conducting research to locate their next of kin, often through genealogical studies, is crucial. To address these issues, our foundation runs ad campaigns on social media platforms, documents application processes, and advocates for veterans' rights by engaging with cemetery administrators on behalf of deceased veterans, particularly concerning unmarked graves. Through these efforts, we aim to bring attention to this important issue, empower families with knowledge and resources, and ensure that every veteran receives the honor and respect they deserve in death.

Marking Unmarked Graves

Preserving Their Memory

It's a solemn realization that many American veterans, despite their service, rest without a proper marker to signify their sacrifice. With over 60 million veterans interred across the nation, it's disheartening to acknowledge the countless graves devoid of military markers or any recognition of their service.

Responsibility for applying for a memorial marker through the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) falls to the veteran's blood relatives upon their passing. However, various factors often lead to oversight, including the absence of family, lack of awareness about the application process, or markers being ordered but never placed.

Compounding this issue is the unfortunate occurrence of bronze grave markers being targeted by grave robbers for scrap metal. This underscores the urgency of ensuring that veterans' resting places are properly marked, as without intervention, their legacies remain unacknowledged.

Our mission is clear: to ensure that every veteran, whose identity we can confirm, is honored with a military grave marker. While we strive to collaborate with the DVA, obstacles sometimes arise, compelling us to take action ourselves. Every veteran deserves the dignity of a proper marker and the respect of having a flag placed in remembrance of their sacrifice. It's our solemn duty to ensure that this essential tribute is extended to all who have served our nation with valor and dedication.
